As the organization coordinating the candidacy and implementing the Banat 2028 – European Region of Gastronomy project, Visit Timiș provides the operational backbone: governance, partnerships, an integrated calendar, marketing, and media relations. Together with the Timiș County Council and a network of town halls, LAGs, associations, and private operators, it connects themed routes (cultural, natural, gastronomic), event programs, and campaigns that bring visitors across the county—from Timișoara to the plains and up to the foothills of the Poiana Ruscă Mountains.
What we do in practice:
- Product & planning. Curate routes and experiences (festivals, producer markets, Local Gastronomic Points, crafts), with a focus on seasonality and authenticity.
- Marketing & media. Multichannel campaigns, press trips, and creator partnerships; guides and photo–video content for national and international audiences.
- Partnerships & co-marketing. Align HoReCa, producers, cultural institutions, and DMOs in joint offers—from city breaks to rural micro-holidays.
- Quality, accessibility & sustainability. Clear hospitality standards; access for families, seniors, and people with special needs; strong environmental practice (reusables, sorting, gentle mobility).
- Data & monitoring. Gather feedback, track indicators (traffic, attendance, seasonality), and fine-tune programs based on results.
For Banat 2028, Visit Timiș coordinates unified destination communications, activates routes and gastronomic zones, integrates festivals into the regional calendar, and develops farm-to-table packages with producers and restaurants. The team offers on-the-ground support to organizers (permits, crowd flows, visitor information), supports host training, and maintains ties with national and European networks—through its IGCAT membership—for visibility, learning, and joint international campaigns.
In short, Visit Timiș is the destination’s command center: aligning people and resources, giving Banat a coherent story, and turning ideas into a clear, well-promoted, and safe program—for 2028 and beyond.
